The International Party (February 4, 2023)

Yesterday was the first International Party of 2023, and man, what a return to form! The biggest International Party we’ve hosted since 2019 with over 100 attendees and the atmosphere was electric!

This time we had DJ KEIGO on the decks all night, and he did such an excellent job, we’re incredibly lucky to have such a talented DJ playing regularly for us! KEIGO has created a really clear musical identity for this event, and the crowd loves him! From now on, KEIGO will be the resident DJ for the International Party, so expect to see a lot more of him in 2023. I’ll also be booking some guest DJs from time to time to keep things fresh, but I think we’ll continue to have some truly brilliant music at The International Party for the rest of the year.

We also had a huge turnout of newcomers, with over 30% of attendees coming from universities in Nagoya. There’s been a huge influx of new arrivals since the borders opened, so there’s never been a better time to attend our events and meet some new people.

I’d like to say thank you to LUGGAGE and their wonderful staff for always looking after us (LUGGAGE also hosts a lot of new events since the pandemic cooled down so keep an eye on their schedule for some cool things to do), to Jim for these amazing photos, and to Jon of Pop Up Palooza for his support with promotion this time. There were also some other photographers and videographers who lent a hand yesterday so expect to see a lot more content from this party over the next few weeks.

We’re taking a break from The International Party next month because we’ve got something very special brewing in Shooters this March which will take up a lot of our time. Hopefully, I’ll be announcing it soon and we’ll have another big party to keep you guys busy at the weekends. Keep your eyes on the page for more info.

Thank you to everyone for attending our events and for the unbelievable support, I love you all and I’ll see you next week for some more events!

Matthew
