The first Trivia Night @ The Rock of 2023 was possibly the biggest turnout we’ve ever had! The Rock was completely packed and Jason delivered one of the best quizzes I think we’ve ever hosted in the last few years. I have to applaud him, the amount of effort that he put into this quiz was truly remarkable. Huge round of applause.
At the start of the event, Jason introduced all the rounds, and gosh, I thought it was hard to put five rounds together, he had at least seven! With some other questions as backups! The highlights for me were the science rounds, which allowed teams to choose their field and question difficulty for an added level of player engagement, and also the “Hands On” round, which asked us to feel some bags and identify the contents. The format was a little chaotic, with teams shouting across the room and throwing bags at each other, but hey, chaos only adds to the excitement. Truly creative and a lot of fun.
But at the end of the day, there can only be one winning team and inevitably, it was my team (I’ve got a giant brain, y’see), which was very cleverly named Small World, Big… Abner.
Jason has agreed to construct a quiz every other month, so I’m looking forward to what he comes up with in April! Until then, we’ll be back on March 26 with a repeat quiz from 2019. See you there!
