The International Party ~Dance Showcase Special~ (August 5, 2023)
We've been running The International Party since 2018, and to this day it's still one of the most popular events in the city. I think that a lot of the reason why it's been so successful over the years is because we're always trying to improve. Over the last few months, we've been making incremental changes to make TIP stand out way above the rest. This month, TIP's Dance Showcase proved that we create experiences at our events that few others can match.
Hawaiian Luau in The Lounge (July 19, 2023)
Aloha and mahalo! Last Wednesday we hosted our first event with Courtyard by Marriott, Hawaiian Luau in The Lounge. The event served as one of the most unique and exciting productions we've been involved with this year, all taking place within the beautiful environs of the Courtyard.
SWFCC International Futsal (July 8, 2023)
I've been in London for the last two weeks so I've been unable to host or attend any events for most of July, but thanks to FCC Futsal we were still able to host the monthly SWFCC International Futsal kick-about.
The International Party Plus (July 1, 2023)
On Saturday we hosted a collab party with our friends at Pop Up Palooza, The International Party Plus. We knew we really wanted to push what we were capable of so we pulled out all the stops and I think we threw the best event of the year so far. I'm not kidding, this party was next level, totally off the chain, a real step up.
Small World Summer BBQ (June 25, 2023)
It took three months but FINALLY we managed to host the elusive Small World Summer BBQ, and it coincided with my birthday! It's been five years since we last hosted a BBQ and it was so good to be out in the sunshine with some incredible food provided by the experts at Lia's Kitchen.
Chatterbox Language Exchange (June 18, 2023)
This month, Chatterbox ended up taking place on the same day as Sunday Pick Me Up, which struck me as an opportunity! As a special promotion, Sunday Pick Me Up attendees were able to attend Chatterbox for FREE! This populated the event with a bunch of Eco-Heroes and gave them the opportunity to experience one of our most popular events for the first time.
Sunday Pick Me Up (June 18, 2023)
Before the blistering heat of summer, residents of Japan have to endure around six weeks of rain, known as tsuyu (rainy season). This, of course, puts a 'dampener' on all of our outdoor events. Sunday Pick Me Up has been cancelled due to poor weather for the last two months, but finally this month the Eco-Heroes were able to return to the streets to clean up the city.
NIGHTFALL: House Party (June 16, 2023)
On Friday we hosted our second NIGHTFALL club night in the recently converted back room of Shooters. This event is held on a Friday night, which can be a tricky night for some... But I can tell you for sure, NIGHTFALL is worth a hangover on a Saturday morning.
Nagoya Mixer (June 4, 2023)
On Sunday we hosted our first Mixer event, which was an offshoot of one of the Chatterbox activities we tried a few months ago. This event was designed to get participants mingling with as many new people as possible!
